Research Overview & Focus

The researcher's work integrates diverse disciplines to study water-related phenomena across various domains. This includes the application of remote sensing in agricultural contexts, hydrological studies for understanding water dynamics, noise management in urban environments, urban planning for disaster response, land use mapping for environmental impact assessment, and disaster risk mitigation strategies. These areas collectively contribute to advancing knowledge on water resources, agriculture, and disaster management across different domains.

Faculty Biography

I am a senior lecturer at the Department of Geomatic Engineering, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. I obtained a PhD  in Geodesy and Survey Engineering at Hohai University, Nanging China and a masters in Navigation Technology at the University of Nottingham, UK. My research interest lies in geospatial analytics with varied applications in health, transport, environment, water and climate.  I am a member of the Group on Earth Observation (GEO) Land Degradation Neutrality Working Group and a fellow at the World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence Regional Transport Research and Education Centre, Kumasi (TRECK). I belong to the Ghana Institute of Engineers, Ghana Institute of Surveyors as well as the American Geophysical Union. I am also a licensed surveyor and a member of the Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana.
