The researcher has conducted extensive research across multiple themes, focusing on geochemistry and geologic mapping, mine drainage and remediation techniques, heavy metals in the environment, efficiency analysis using DEA, geological and geochemical analysis, occupational health and safety, hydrocarbon exploration and reservoir analysis, magnesium oxide properties, groundwater and watershed analysis, environmental sustainability in business, arsenic contamination and mitigation, mining techniques and economics, geophysical and geoelectrical methods, Cassava research and cyanide, constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment, hydraulic fracturing and reservoir analysis, fluorides effects and removal, ground water flow and contamination studies, geological formations and processes, rangeland management and livestock ecology, and water quality and pollution assessment. Their work spans a wide range of disciplines, from the physical sciences to applied social sciences.

Faculty Biography

Gordon FOLI joined Geological Engineering Department at KNUST, Kumasi, Ghana in 2011 as Lecturer and attained Associate Professor rank in 2020. His background is in Geology, with 19 years of mining industry experience. He holds a PhD in Geological Engineering from KNUST and specialised in Arsenic remediation in mine drainage. Teaches core geology and geo-environmental courses. His research interest is in trace metal contamination and environmental risk assessment.
