Faculty Biography
I am a fellow of Ghana and West African College of Surgeons, senior specialist obstetrician gynaecologist, with gynaecologic oncology as my subspecialty. I have a decade experience as a practicing obstetrician gynaecologist at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. I have performed or assisted in over 500 retroperitoneal dissection/surgeries, which are cardinal in the management of early ovarian, cervical, and endometrial cancers.Alongside, I lectured at KNUST from 2018 to 2020 on adjunct and senior adjunct status. I have considerable experience in teaching: residents in obstetrics and gynaecology, Ghana, and West African College of Surgeons; teaching and examining medical and nursing students at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Kumasi Nursing and Midwifery teaching School.I have authored pioneering papers in gynaecological cancer in Ghana and published several such articles on gynaecological cancers in peer-reviewed journals. My research areas include quest to enhance treatment outcomes in advanced gynaecological cancers, and labour induction in low-resource settings. I am goal-oriented, with a great sense of humour, a strong personality, and a team player with excellent leadership qualities.
