Faculty Biography

A. K. Kwaw holds a PhD degree in Geological Resource and Geological Engineering from Hohai University, Nanjing, China, with a specialisation in solute and bacteria transport in porous media. Kwame also holds an MSc degree in Mineral Exploration Geoscience from Pan African University and University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, and a BSc degree in Geological Engineering from KNUST.Kwame's research interests include fluid flow and solute transport in porous and fractured media; sources, fate and transport of contaminants in aqueous environments; pore water - free and bound - characterisation using nuclear magnetic resonance; mineral exploration and artisanal/small-scale mining practices.Kwame can deliver high-quality, practical results through local and international collaborative research projects.
