Faculty Biography

Edward Appiah Boateng is a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana and a Foundation Fellow of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives. He obtained BSc in Nursing at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He obtained MSc in Advanced Nursing at the University of Nottingham (UoN), UK, as a Commonwealth Scholar. He was awarded PhD in Nursing Studies at the University of Nottingham, UK, in December 2016.Edward has collaborated with several researchers to undertake research projects and has published in reputable, peer-reviewed journals. His research interests are in non-communicable diseases, mainly chronic kidney disease and qualitative research methods. Edward is involved in the teaching and research supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Department of Nursing, KNUST. He also provides relevant service to KNUST, Ghana and the international community.
