Faculty Biography
Dr. Samuel Boahen is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, KNUST. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Hanbat National University, Deajeon, South Korea. Dr. Samuel Boahen's area of specialty is Thermofuids and Energy Systems. He is a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioing (HVAC) Specialist whose main research interest involves the design and optimisation of energy efficient heating and cooling systems. He also has special interest in the development of test standards and fault detection and diagnosis mechanisms for HVAC systems. Dr. Samuel Boahen has published several papers in reputable journals and has attended over 15 international conferences, winning several awards at these conferences.
