Faculty Biography
Professor Pius Agbenorku is a University Professor and Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with over 30 years of surgical experience. As one of the first Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons in Ghana, he has contributed in diverse ways to improve this specialty in Ghana. He has performed and still performs several life transforming surgeries across Ghana and Africa. He has served on several boards in this area and played both national and international roles to help improve global plastic and reconstructive surgery.He has years of teaching experience; training medical students, residents and even colleagues. He contributes to drawing curricullum for medical schools, residency training in specialised fields of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is research inclined and has over 100 academic and reserch publications to his credit.Professor Pius Agbenorku contributed immensely to establishing the then Burns Unit of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and is honoured: Founding Head, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery- Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
