Professor Joseph Yorke is a distinguished surgeon-scholar, educator, and leader, renowned for integrating clinical excellence, impactful research, and transformative surgical education. As a Consultant General Surgeon at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), a leading tertiary referral center in Ghana, he excels in managing complex gastrointestinal, colorectal, hernia, and acute abdominal conditions, earning acclaim for his meticulous operative skill and calm peri-operative judgment.A prolific researcher, Professor Yorke’s work, featured on ResearchGate and Google Scholar, focuses on locally relevant advancements, including gastrointestinal cancers, colonoscopy services, and wound management in resource-limited settings. His contributions enhance both local practice and international surgical literature.As an educator, he is celebrated for crafting realistic, scenario-based learning materials tailored to Sub-Saharan Africa’s disease prevalence and resources, preparing medical students, residents, and fellows for high-stakes exams and clinical practice.
