Faculty Biography
DR(Mrs) Nana Yaa Koomson is a Senior Lecturer and the Head of the Department of Optometry and Visual Science, Faculty of Biosciences, College of Science. She joined the department on 21st August 1998. Her research focuses on areas in the control of myopia, Public Health Optometry, Anterior segment, and contact lens research. She currently handles courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She was awarded a Fellowship for Ph.D. Vision Science under the SMS/NPT Disability Project; Sponsored by Netherlands Program for the Institutional Strengthening of Post-Secondary Education & Training Capacity (NPT).
