Research Overview & Focus

The researcher's research focuses on the transformative potential of agricultural innovations among small ruminant producers in Ghana, particularly their implications for market participation and socio-economic development. This study integrates insights from firm innovation systems, farmer behavior, animal disease management, and microfinance to examine how these systems influence livelihoods across different regions of Ghana, emphasizing their critical role in driving food security and economic inclusion.

Faculty Biography

I graduated from a transdisciplinary doctoral programme. I am experienced in teaching at agricultural colleges and at a university; conducting needs assessment; preparing training materials; writing competency-based education project funded by NUFFIC.Kwadwo Amankwah was born in Kintampo in the Bono Region of Ghana. He attended Wenchi Secondary School and Kumasi Academy for the Ordinary and Advanced Level General Certificate of Education (G.C.E.). Kwadwo obtained B.Sc.  in Agriculture (Crops) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Tecnology (1994), M.Sc. in Management of Agricultural Knowledge Systems (MAKS - nowadays M.Sc. development and rural Innovation; 2000) and PhD Communication and Innovation Studies (2013) at Wageingen University, the Netherlands.
