Faculty Biography

Dr. Emmanuel Ankudey has over 20 years’ experience in the practice of Chemical Engineering and education of Chemical and other engineers. He graduated from the then University of Science and Technology in 1990 with BSc Chemical Engineering and served as Teaching Assistant in the department. He proceeded to the Norwegian University of Science and Technology to pursue a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Oil and Gas Technology. He was appointed Programme Officer at Ghana Environmental Protection Agency in charge of inspection and verification of Environmental Management Plans of industries in Ghana.Dr. Ankudey was recruited to join the department of Chemical Engineering in response to an urgent need for lecturers at the time. He held the important positions of Departmental and College Examinations Officer. He gained admission to the University of Iowa and completed his PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering in 2008. He was the coordinator for the Petrochemical Engineering Programme and developed the current syllabus of the programme.Dr. Ankudey is also a certified API (510, 570, 653, 571) inspector and conducts contract NDT inspections and examinations for the Petrochemical industry in the USA.
