Bernard Kofi Turkson

Faculty Biography
Dr. Bernard Kofi Turkson holds a certificate in Dispensing Technology from the Kumasi Technical University, BSc (Hons) degree in Herbal Medicine, an MPhil and a PhD (Pharmacognosy) from the Kwame Nkrumah University and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. He is currently a lecturer in Pharmacognosy at the College of Health Sciences, Department of Herbal Medicine, KNUST. He has been a registered Medical Herbalist since the year 2008. Before his appointment into the University, he has been a Medical Herbalist at the Tafo Government Hospital, Kumasi, Ghana Health Service. He is passionate about the practice of traditional medicine and goes all out to support every move in this direction. As a Medical Herbalist, he was the head of the herbal medicine unit at the Tafo Government Hospital. He was a lecturer at the College of Integrated Health, Obuasi in the Ashanti Region. He was a part-time lecturer at the Department of Herbal Medicine, KNUST.
