Faculty Biography

Dr. Aaron Opoku Antwi is a lecturer at the Department of Pharmacology, KNUST, Kumasi, Ghana. He obtained both his Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) and PhD (Pharmacology) degrees in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), in 2011 and 2018 respectively. Dr. Antwi’s research interest is mainly the immunopharmacology of medicinal plants and plant-derived compounds. His research focuses on investigating the effect of these compounds on modulatory pathways, cytokine profiles and inflammatory cell involvement in allergy and inflammation.Dr. Antwi is currently a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH) and the Society for Medicinal Plants and Natural Product Research.
