Regina Esi Edziyie
The researcher's work is centered on advancing knowledge in diverse fields including environmental science, aquaculture, climate change, and disaster management. Their research spans themes such as the bioaccumulation of environmental toxins, antibiotic use in aquaculture, water quality assessment, and climate variability, incorporating findings from various experimental and observational studies. Key papers include work on trichlocarban bioaccumulation in wastewater treatment plants, chloroquine bioconcentration in fish, attitudes toward antibiotic use, and practices for controlling bacterial infections in aquaculture. Their interdisciplinary approach highlights the researcher's commitment to understanding and mitigating environmental risks in agricultural systems.
Faculty Biography
My main passion is in the area of sustainable management of aquatic resources; in applying my knowledge and skills in reducing pollution, looking for innovative ways for clean-up and training and collaborating with others in sustainable water resource science and management. I have received training and had the opportunity to work on several projects in Ghana and USA. My areas of interest include: wastewater management and safety, improving water quality in ponds, increasing aquaculture productivity by improving feeds and feeding strategies; promoting the culture of native species in Ghana, aquatic ecology and toxicology in natural systems and environmental science education.
