Faculty Biography

Jonathan Mensah Dapaah graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociologyfrom the University of Ghana, Accra in 1994.In 2001 he obtained a Master of Philosophy degree in Sociology from the same University. In September 2006, I took the position of PhD researcher at Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR), University of Amsterdam and successfully completed the programme in 2012. Before the PhD programme, I worked as a research assistant with the Kintampo Health Research Centre in Ghana. Next he was pragramme coordinator with the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana, a non-governmental organization active in the area of sexual and reproductive health.Lastly, I worked with the Ghana Sustainable Change Project, a USAID sponsored project on malaria, infant feeding and sexual and reproductive health as monitoring and evaluation officer. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department at the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi,Ghana. He has published in the area of HIV/AIDS care and treatment, sexual and reproductive health and social aspects of health in general.   C
