Faculty Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer and current Head of the Department of Communication Design. I teach third and final year students in animation, video production and sound design/sound engineering. My educational background is in the field of Art History, Visual Culture and Communication Design.I have attended a number of academic conferences in Ghana, England and South Africa and have published articles in peer-reviewed international journals. The published articles cut across African Arts, Art History, Aesthetics, Criticism and Design in Art . I worked as an Executive director, Producer and editor of a number of films, adverts and documentaries such as the “We are one” documentary on the Boomerang of Jazz which won a number of awards in 2018 – 2019.My current interests are in preparing young designers to take up entrepreneurial skills in the area of film, animation and sound production and also work towards preserving our Ghanaian heritage.
