Faculty Biography

Dr. Michael Kwesi Baah is a Lecturer at the Department of Herbal Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He holds a PhD and MPhil in Pharmacognosy and a BSc in Herbal Medicine, all from KNUST.His areas of specialization and research interests include clinical trials and efficacy testing of herbal products, quality control and standardization of herbal medicines, and the socio-cultural aspects of herbal medicine research. His research also focuses on plant products with antiparasitic, antimicrobial, and antidiabetic activities, as well as ethnopharmacology. He has authored and co-authored several scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.Dr. Baah is a member of the Society of Medicinal Plants and Natural Products Research and the Ghana Association of Medical Herbalists (GAMH).
