William Mark Adolwine

Faculty Biography

Mr. William Mark Adolwine is a Land Economist and a Legal Practitioner. He holds an MPhil Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge, England and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Ghana, respectively. He also holds a LL.B from KNUST and a BL Law from the Ghana School of Law. He is a barrister at Law and a member of the Ghana Bar Association. He is also a Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Society.Mr. William Mark Adolwine is a retired Senior Lecturer at the Department of Land Economy. He joined the Department as a Lecturer in 1995 and served as a Head of Department between August 2017 and July 2018. He also served as the Department Examinations Officer between 2002 and 2005, a Faculty Examinations Officer of the then Faculty of Planning and Land Economy between 2004 and 2006 and a College Examinations Officer for the then College of Architecture and Planning between 2006 and 2008. He has also served as the Senior Tutor of Unity Hall between 2005 and 2009.He has lectured in Principles of Valuation and Law for many years at the Department of Land Economy. He currently teaches Property Law courses both at the undergraduate level to students of Land Economy and Real Estate and at the graduate level to students of Facilities Management and Land Governance and Policy. He has in the past lectured part time at the University College of Management Studies, Kumasi and at the Kumasi Technical University.He has published several articles in leading journals including the International Journal of Housing Markets and Analysis, Journal of International Real Estate and Construction Studies, International Journal of Academic Research and Reflection, the KNUST Journal of Science and Technology and the Journal of African Studies.
