The researcher has synthesized a multifaceted study integrating traditional <i>Annonaceae</i> uses with environmental impacts of pharmaceuticals. Using essential oils from leaves and fruit pulp, they explored their chemical composition, total phenolic content, and antioxidant activities in Ghana. Simultaneously, the focus shifted to understanding pharmaceutical residues in natural environments, including water, soil, and industrial sites such as dams and manufacturing facilities. This work bridges traditional medicine with environmental health risks associated with phthalate-containing chemicals, offering insights into their potential impacts on ecosystems and human health.
