Faculty Biography

Dr. Jonathan Atuquaye Quaye is a well-trained researcher and engineer who is inclined to bridge the industry-academia gap. His Ph.D. research at the China University of Geosciences, Beijing and the Jiangsu Oilfield Company Ltd (SINOPEC) focused on ascertaining the relationship between reservoir petrophysical properties, fluid flow regimes, and rock property trends in siliciclastic bioturbated media; the depositional and diagenetic controls on reservoir quality. He's had prior studies in Oil & Gas Engineering (MEng.) and Marine Engineering (BSc.) at the China University of Geoscience and the Regional Maritime University, respectively. Dr. Quaye has research interests in reservoir quality of siliciclastic reservoir facies, reservoir characterization, bioturbation (animal-sediment interactions), and basin modelling. He believes in teamwork and has exceptional communication skills.
