Matilda Kokui Owusu-Bio
The researcher has conducted significant work on improving supply chain management through a range of innovative approaches, particularly in sustainable practices, collaborations, and ethical considerations. Their research integrates themes from corporate culture, analytics, collaboration, and ethics across multiple domains within the social sciences to enhance supply chain performance while addressing sustainability and accountability.
Faculty Biography
Dr Owusu-Bio is a Lecturer in the Department of Supply Chain and Information at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) School of Business. She has over 8 years of working as a Lecturer. Her research focus is in Supply Chain Management and Humanitarian Logistics and has publications, attended and participated in academic conferences globally in these areas. Dr Owusu-Bio has a PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Her PhD work focused on innovation in the Humanitarian logistics sphere.Dr Owusu-Bio is the Head of the KNUST Travel Service desk, and a Skilled-Helper with the University Counseling Unit.She is also the Industrial Liaison officer for the Regional Transport Research and Education Centre Kumasi (TRECK), an African Higher Education Centre of Excellence under the World Bank group, housed at KNUST. She is also the E-learning training coordinator for the U.S. State department Bureau of African affairs University Partnerships Initiative (UPI) in partnership with Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC). She is also the Senior Technical Advisor on Gender and Humanitarian Supply Chains for the Center for Applied research and Innovation in Supply Chain-Africa (CARISCA).Matilda is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT), Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), Women in Logistics and Transport (WILAT) and the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
