Rahman Adam
The researcher's work is broadly focused on the intersection of health sciences, encompassing nutrition, surgery, genetics, and physiology. Through systematic reviews and clinical trials across diverse fields, they investigate topics such as metabolic compensation, nutritional risk assessment, surgical interventions for critically ill patients, and the role of nutritional therapy in chronic conditions like Crohn’s disease and spondyloarthritis. Their research integrates innovative tools likeustumal screening and advanced statistical models to address challenges in patient care and healthcare outcomes across these interconnected areas.
Faculty Biography
As a faculty member of the Department of Communication Design, Adam Rahman has over 16 years teaching experience in higher education and coordinates the technical production of Open Educational Resources (OER) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. With a number of publications to his credit, his research areas include Packaging Design, Interaction Design and Visual culture. He was a recipient of the University of Michigan African Presidential Scholarship (UMAPS) in 2010. He holds memberships in the Ghana Design Network (GDN) and the Institute of Packaging, Ghana (IOPG), among others. He is also a member of the African Group of Packaging Experts trained by the International Trade Center (ITC), Geneva, Switzerland. He serves on a number of boards and committees whose mandate straddle both academia and industry. He has to his credit an extensive experience engaging with both local and foreign government agencies, industry partners and packaging professionals.
