Faculty Biography
Dr. Gaveh, is a Senior Lecturer at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources of KNUST, Ghana. He has over 15 years of professional experience in the agricultural sector. He holds a PhD in Agronomy and Applied Biosciences from the Kyungpook National University in South Korea. He also graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with specialization in Business Strategy and Management from the prestigious Yonsei University School of Business also in South Korea. Prior to these, he graduated with Master of Science (MSc Olericulture) and Bachelor of Science Honours (B.Sc. Hons. Agriculture) degrees from KNUST, Ghana.He was previously an Agricultural Officer with the Directorate of Crop Services (DCS) of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA). Ghana. While with DCS-MoFA, he was directly involved with the implementation of projects such as the Horticulture Export Industry Initiative (HEII) Project funded by the World Bank (WB); The Export Marketing and Quality Awareness Project (EMQAP) funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB); and the ongoing Ghana Commercial Agriculture Project (GCAP) jointly funded by the World Bank and USAID while performing all other tasked assigned in the Directorate.Dr. Gaveh has strong expertise in seed science, greenhouse/open field vegetable technology, agribusiness value chain development, research, business plan/project proposal development, training and facilitation, curricula development, project implementation, local enterprise development, among others. Over the years, he has performed several short-term agricultural services for local institutions such as PPMED-MoFA; AGS More Resources Co. Ltd. on a USAID funded training project; technical support to ESOKO Ghana; B. Kaakyire Agro Chemicals Limited; JAKESS Agrochemicals Company Ltd.; L.K. International Co. Ltd. to develop a One-District-One-Factory (1D1F) project; Go-Fertz Co. Ltd; Mes-Bre Co. Ltd.; Chemplan Co. Ltd.; and KNUST.At the international level, he has rendered services to: the German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval); GIZ; FAO; Agritop; ECOSIB Project funded by AGRA; SNV; World Vision; UNIDO WACOMP Project in various capacities.
