Isaac Ayew Aidoo is an Environmental Scientist whose research focuses on developing sustainable solutions to critical environmental challenges. His expertise spans pollution remediation, waste management, water resources management, environmental toxicology, laboratory instrumentation, and the adverse impacts of climate change and anthropogenic pressures on food and water security.In the area of pollution remediation, Aidoo specializes in phytoremediation and bioremediation, using plants and microorganisms to detoxify contaminated soils, water, and ecosystems. His work in waste management and resource recovery seeks to convert organic and industrial wastes into valuable resources, promoting circular economy practices and reducing environmental impact.Aidoo also investigates contaminants of emerging concern, such as microplastics, pharmaceuticals, and industrial chemicals, assessing their environmental fate and risks to human and ecosystem health. Complementing this, his research in environmental toxicology evaluates the effects of pollutants on living organisms, informing policy and sustainable management practices.In water resource management, Aidoo addresses challenges of water quality, availability, and sustainable use, integrating ecological, engineering, and policy approaches to support resilient and equitable water systems. He utilizes advanced laboratory instrumentation to analyze a wide range of environmental samples.Through an interdisciplinary approach, Aidoo aims to translate scientific insights into practical strategies that protect ecosystems, safeguard public health, and advance environmental sustainability.
