Dr. Robert Amoanyi is a lecturer in the Department of Industrial Art (Ceramic section), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi - Ghana. He received his Bachelor Degree in Industrial Art (Ceramics) and PhD degree in Materials Engineering from KNUST, Ghana. His research areas are the use of alternative materials for glass works, waste bricks for pozzolana cement, alternative stabilization of clays with agricultural waste materials for rural housing, glazes and stains using locally available materials. He has served as Assistant Departmental Examinations Officer for two years and now Main Departmental Examinations Officer and Head of Ceramics Section (Department of Industrial Art). His area of specialty and interest are Ceramic Design and Technology and Ceramic Building Materials.
