Peggy Ama Fening

Peggy Ama Fening received her BA (Hons) in Industrial Art Deparment (Metal Product Design) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Techology in 1996. She did her Mphil and PhD in the  same institution in 2001 and 2015 respectively. She has been with the Industrial Art Deparment for more 26 years as a Teaching Assistant, Demonstrator and a Lecturer. Her research interest is in the area of Metal Product Design, Jewellery and Metalsmithing, Enamelling and History of Metals.She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Industrial Art in Faculty of Art, College of Art and Built Environment, Kumasi-Ghana. She is a seasoned researcher and has been involved in various studies including Post Independent Developmental Trends of the Gold Jewellery Industry in Ghana; Preservation and Enculturation of the Metalsmithing Industry in Kumasi-Ghana; Workplace Safety Practices and Associated Health Hazards Among Informal Welders in Kumasi, Ghana.She has served as Head of Department, Sectional Coordinator and has been on several committees including College, Faculty and Departmental Boards. She has also held roles as chair and member of pannel for accreditation GTEC.She has been teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and has conducted considerable research topics and authored and co-authored in peer review articles in International Scientific Journals. She has also reviewed a number of journals.
