About

Prof Noah Kyame Asare-Donkoris a Faculty member in the Department of Chemistry, KNUST, Ghana. He received his PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Anthony A. Adimado. His research interests focused on environmental Contamination and Health Risk Assessment, computational Chemistry – Catalysis/Gas phase decomposition of single source precursors for binary and ternary metal chalcogenide, synthesis of Semiconductor Nanomaterials and thin films, inorganic and Bioinorganic Chemistry. He has provided service courses to the School of Medical Sciences and the College of Engineering. He has participated in the review of the laboratory manuals for the practical courses and has contributed in adding a lot of quality and value to the courses. As far as his delivery as a teacher is concerned there has not been any complaint about his performance, regularity and punctuality at lectures. He was part of the team that won the teaching and Learning Innovation Fund (TALIF) Awards (KNUSTR/3/008/2005) and (KNUSTR/3/008/2005) that enabled the establishment of a state-of the art molecular facility. This facility has strengthened the research capability of the Department and has introduced high-end research component to the research curriculum of KNUST.With regard to his service to community, he has served the University/National communities in various ways. He has served as resource person and part of organizing committees of some national conferences and workshops to create awareness about the safe use of pesticides and the Mining Industry and the Environment. He has served as Departmental, Faculty and college examination officer for a number of years. Prof Noah Kyame Asare-Donkor has also served on sub-committees for the on new programs and investigation of examination malpractices.
