Felicity Asiedu-Appiah holds the position of Associate Professor of Management at the Department of Human Resource and Organisational Development at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Concurrently, she serves as the Technical Consultant at the KNUST School of Business Career Services Office. In this role, she actively analyzes career service practices, offering valuable recommendations to enhance the unit's effectiveness.Her research interests encompass work-life intersections, organizational behavior, human resource management, leadership and gender analysis at the workplace. Felicity has contributed to several journals, including the Africa Journal of Management, International Journal of Cross-Cultural Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of African Business, and Tourism and Hospitality Research. Felicity is a member of the African Academy of Management (AFAM) and Academy of International Business -African Chapter. She has participated in numerous conferences, presenting her research at events such as the African Academy of Management Conference. Notably, she secured the 2018 Emerald Best Paper Award in the Management track at the AFAM conference in Ethiopia. Additionally, her dedication to research was recognized in 2019 when she received the Stella Nkomo Award for her outstanding work on "Awareness and usage of work-life balance policies, cognitive engagement, and perceived organizational support: A multi-level analysis." Felicity also serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for journals like the International Journal of Organisational Analysis, SA Journal of Human Resource Management, and Journal of Management and Organisation.Beyond her academic pursuits, Felicity has contributed to the fields of management consulting and training, working with diverse groups in the energy, education, hospitality and health sectors. Her training topics include but not limited to leadership, emotional intelligence, social capital, employee relations, opportunity identification, career planning, managing the work-life interface, and performance management. In addition to her research and consulting roles, Felicity brings years of experience in coaching and mentoring students, preparing them for successful transitions into the professional world. She initiated the Work-Ready Summit for final year students at the KNUST School of Business in 2017 and continues to be actively engaged in students' developmental initiatives across various disciplines.She received her Bachelor of Arts degree (English and Geography) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana in 2001, Master of Science degree in Management and Human Resource Management from the Nottingham Trent University in United Kingdom in 2003 and Ph.D. in Human Resource Management from KNUST in Ghana in 2015.
